We Got This TX is dedicated to increasing representation of progressive Black, Indigenous, and women of color (BIWOC) in civic life and the Texas legislative process because we understand that the lack of representation in itself presents a barrier to entry. It can be incredibly difficult navigating spaces where you are the only one who looks like you.

In recognition of the power that sharing our stories can have in paving a pathway for others to follow, we host the stories of BIWOC who are working or engaging in legislative advocacy on their own time in our Herstory Archive. The Herstory Archive hopes to serve as a brave and authentic space where BIWOC can see themselves in the stories of others and recognize that we belong in the Texas legislative process.

Learn more about the process of sharing your story below or read the stories of others by visiting our Herstory Archive.

Potential contributors can submit their 500-750 word story sharing why they engage in civic life or the Texas legislative process. Based on available funding, our team will select pieces to be featured in our Herstory Archive. Learn more about the process via our guidelines here
