Lauren Rangel
Founder of We Got This TX, Board Chair
Lauren Rangel is the Founder and Board Chair of We Got This TX. She was born and raised in San Antonio and currently lives in Austin, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science at Columbia University in the City of New York. Her lived experiences as a wife and mother of 3 young children drive her to fight for a Texas where a child’s opportunities in life are not determined by the zip code of their birth by advancing policy solutions that connect families with the resources that they need to thrive. Lauren is committed to amplifying the priorities of historically excluded Texans and supporting them in engaging in civic and legislative advocacy. She is a former Movement Mujeres, New Leaders Council, Emily’s List Ignite Change, and Reflect US It Begins Here fellow. She has previously worked at the Texas House of Representatives, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Easterseals Central Texas as a Texas Council on Developmental Disabilities Public Policy Fellow, Digital Organizing Manager of SickofitTX at Children’s Defense Fund-TX, and is currently the Communications Partnerships and Campaigns Manager directing the Women Are Voting Campaign at Supermajority.
