We Got This TX believes that all Texas communities will be better served when the women who serve, organize, and lead our communities have equitable access to civic participation and representation in the Texas legislative process.

The primary activity to further the mission and vision of our organization will be the We Got This TX Fellowship. This fellowship for progressive Black, Indigenous, and women of color (BIWOC) from low-income and working-class backgrounds seeks to address the glaring disparity in representation that we face in the Texas legislative process. We hope to have the funds to launch this program with a cohort of 4 fellows for the 88th legislative session in 2023.

The yearlong fellowship will:Provide fellows with training, and internship placement support, feature an intensive mentorship program, include monthly professional development lunches, & networking events, and require fellows to develop & present a policy research project. Additionally, in an effort to holistically combat the culture of exclusion in the Texas legislative process, host offices and organizations will be required to training to support them in fostering a just and inclusive environment for fellows.
